PM Modi establishes the Dholera Tata Semiconductor Plant’s foundation.

According to the most recent Dholera smart city news. Published on March 13, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the groundwork for semiconductor plants valued at Rs 91,000 crore in Gujarat.

The Dholera Special Investment Region (Dholera SIR) in Gujarat is home to the semiconductor fabrication facility. In contrast, Mori Village in Assam is home to the outsourced semiconductor assembly and testing facility. The prime minister stated that the initiative being announced today will be crucial to India being a center for semiconductors. More than 60,000 colleges, universities, and educational institutions participated in this virtual initiative nationwide.

The Prime Minister noted that technology-based electronic chips are crucial in the twenty-first century and said that “Made in India” and “Designed in India” chips will be crucial in helping India become more independent and sophisticated. The Prime Minister stated that although India could not lead the prior three industrial revolutions for various reasons, the country is now taking action to spearhead the fourth, or Industry 4.0.

In the next five years, India will become one of the top five countries in the world in the production of semiconductors, establishing itself as a powerful nation in the global semiconductor production arena. India will not only supply semiconductors to various domestic producers of electronic items but also to numerous producers across the world, becoming a hub for semiconductor production.

“91 thousand crores will be invested in Dholera”

India, which joined the semiconductor industry over ten years later than other countries, is determined not to let this opportunity pass with the opening of Chip’s manufacturing facilities, which have created countless opportunities for the global semiconductor production industry.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set the groundwork for India’s future in the semiconductor industry, according to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who also hinted that the opening of three semiconductor plants will result in the creation of jobs.  According to the most recent news on Dholera Smart City, the country will begin producing semiconductors once the raw materials required to make chips are brought in. This would encourage small enterprises to relocate to Dholera as well. As a result, numerous industrial units that use semiconductors will begin to operate, including those that manufacture laptops, servers, and mobile devices.

Speaking at the laying of the foundation stone for Tata Sons’ Dholera chips factory, Chairman of the Tata Group Natarajan Chandrasekaran stressed how critical it is that India develop into a semiconductor nation. These chips will satisfy the demands of the consumer, medical, automotive, electronics, and health industries. It would take some time to create 50,000 jobs in Dholera, but expansion will occur once the initial construction is over. According to the most recent news update on Dholera Smart City, world-class facilities would be developed there.

“Dholera has released tenders for housing, schools, colleges, and hospitals.”

The process of inviting bids to develop infrastructure, such as schools, hospitals, and housing projects in the Dholera area has begun, according to Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The projects that receive authorization in Gujarat will be approved by the central government. There are also plans to build playgrounds, green spaces, and other leisure facilities. Dholera will be developed as Green Dholera, and all manufacturing units, including the Tata factory, created in the Dholera SIR will receive prompt approval. Although it is a business policy to give preference to locals for employment, candidates who meet the company’s qualification requirements and qualification standards will be given priority. as of the most recent news update on Dholera Smart City.
